STEWART + HIGHFIELD is a boutique spatial design and styling company based on the NSW Central Coast.
Common Ground Wyong was the big sister venue for Common Ground Long Jetty. The design response was to create an authentic bistro restaurant that could operate as a cafe by day. Situated in a bank built in the 1920’s the design harks back to the wealthy dairy days of the area.
By using brass, dark timber and marble finishes the space was created to be welcoming and warm, speak to the patrons of quality , with a modern, unique take on deco.
We were responsible for overall concept design, 3d renders of the space, build plans for bars and custom furniture, sourcing, project management, bringing in skilled scenic artists for wall treatments, and decoration.
We were brought into the Lakes Hotel to renovate and attract a broader clientele. We reinvigorated it to be a stylish and cool space, bringing elegance and a buzz to the venue.
By reducing the colour palette and incorporating a greater use of greenery we changed a busy space that people weren’t eating in, to a serene and inviting dining area. The use of talented scenic artists puts a unique stamp on the venue.
We restyled 3 rooms as well as an alfresco dining outdoor area. Each room has a distinct tone and story whilst working together in harmony to create a cohesive brand for The Lakes Hotel.
We started on Sounds on West when it was an empty brick shop that hadn’t been used in years. The owners also had Six Strings Brewery and were interested in extending their range of beers into a restaurant space that focused on smoked meats.
We were responsible for creating a masculine design that would stay warm an intimate at night time.
We custom made the bar out of hard wood timbers and continued this vintage industrial theme throughout the space with distressed brick work, low lighting and brown textural leather upholstery.
Our role was concept design, 3d renders of the space, build plans for bars and custom furniture, sourcing, project management, bringing in skilled scenic artists for wall treatments, and decoration.
The Giant Dwarf office is a multifunctional venue that embraces the unique creative spirit of The Chaser team. The clients required a fully changeable location, as at times they only have 4 staff working in the space, however when in production they can have 40 staff and use it as a film studio.
All items have been built on wheels with the ability transform. The meeting room can be three rooms or one; the palette desks can all stack into one corner, whilst wall panels make for a backdrop for filming.
With the use of unconventional materials for office design the space feels more like a canvas for creative play.
